Dr. Patrick Burkardt graduated from the University of Detroit Mercy School of Dentistry in 2015. After earning his dental degree, he served as a dentist in the U.S. Air Force for 5 years, where he enhanced his dental skills. He completed an Advanced Education in General Dentistry residency program with the Air Force in 2016. This included advanced training in all dental specialties, including endodontics, prosthodontics, restorative dentistry, periodontics, cosmetic procedures, oral surgery and IV sedation. He was ranked top resident in oral surgery, restorative dentistry and endodontics.
After residency, Dr. Burkardt practiced dentistry for 4 years at F.E. Warren Air Force base in Cheyenne, Wyoming. While there, he continued to broaden his experience, becoming the highest producing dentist – completing hundreds of wisdom tooth surgeries, sedations, general dentistry and specialty procedures. Dr. Burkardt still serves as an officer in the Wyoming Air National Guard throughout the year.
Dr. Burkardt is committed to broadening his skills with continuing education. He has completed courses with the American Society of Dental Anesthesiology and courses in CAD/CAM dentistry (Computer aided design). Dr. Burkardt strives to provide the highest quality dental care to his patients, emphasizing long term preservation of oral health.
Dr. Burkardt enjoys giving back. He has volunteered on six dental mission trips to the countries of Honduras, Dominican Republic and Guatemala. There he provided free dental care for thousands of people in need. He looks forward to continuing volunteer mission trips throughout his career.
In his spare time, Dr. Burkardt loves experiencing the Colorado outdoors. He enjoys hiking, backpacking, rock climbing, skiing and camping. He also enjoys traveling and visiting his family in Michigan.
